Now plug your FreeAgent DockStar™ into a wall socket, or available socket in a power strip.
Did the LED lights on your FreeAgent DockStar™ turn on? If not, your power strip may not be connected to a power source, or the power cable may not be connected to your FreeAgent DockStar™.
Now it's time to connect your external hard drive. Take the USB cable that came with your hard drive and connect one end into the hard drive, and the other into the USB port on your FreeAgent DockStar™. If your hard drive has its own power source, please make sure that it is connected and turned on.
